In Coles Bay, some 9km soth of Mt Paul, there are two small supermarkets selling fuel, a post office, a pub, bottle shop, ATMs and a range of places to eat. Near Coles Bay there is Freycinet Lodge and The Edge of the Bay Resort.

Slightly further a field are Bicheno (30km), and Swansea (52km), both of which offer a choice of small supermarkets, bottle shops, and restaurants, together with further activities and attractions.

Please be aware that most shops and restaurants close early, and reservations are advisable in the height of the summer.

Mobile phones have reasonable reception on Mt Paul, with the exception of Optus/Vodaphone.
